Travel from Strasbourg city center to Strasbourg Airport

Getting from Strasbourg city center to its airport is easy via public or private transit. This picturesque French city sits on the banks of the Rhine river, and the airport is located just under seven miles (11 kilometers) to the southwest. Known locally as Entzheim Airport, Strasbourg Airport has a modest handful of facilities to help passengers relax before their flights. Like many of its neighboring cities along the Rhine, public transportation in Strasbourg is excellent. Although the city's efficient network of trams is the best way to get around the inner city, the shuttle train between Strasbourg Station and Strasbourg Airport is the best way to reach the airport.

What's the best way to get to Strasbourg Airport from Strasbourg city center?

The best way to reach Strasbourg Airport is via the A18 shuttle train, operated by the French public transportation company TER, which departs from Strasbourg Station as frequently as five times an hour. The shuttle train takes eight minutes to get to the airport, in the Grand East direction. Passengers on the shuttle train arrive right beside the airport, and there is a covered walkway that leads you inside. Strasbourg Station is slightly northwest of the city center, so travelers coming from the other side of the Rhine will need to take the A, C or D tram lines from any tram stations in the city, including Etoile Bourse and Porte de l'Hopital. Travel in the direction of Parc des Sports and get off at Gare Centrale, right beside the central train station. The second best way to reach the airport is via car, although driving is a less direct route than public transportation.
