Grindelwald Facilities

There are three ski areas that can be accessed from the village, but for non skiers there is also a wide range of leisure facilities, dining and entertainment in the resort. The local sports center offers an indoor pool with flumes, a sauna and a spa, but there are also plenty of restaurants, shops and bars to choose from. The mountain railway, cable cars and lift system provide easy transport within the local area.

How to Get to Grindelwald

Grindelwald is easily accessible using a variety of transport options. The village is located 205 km from Geneva and 195 km from Zurich. The nearest airport is Berne, which is only 67 km from the resort.

Trains to Grindelwald

Visitors can take the Eurostar to Paris and then continue to Berne and Interlaken before reaching Grindelwald. There is an express train from Geneva Airport to Interlaken, from there, visitors can then take a scenic train to the village.

Buses to Grindelwald

The Grindelwald Bus is a regular bus service that covers the local area around the resort and operates in the summer and winter seasons.

Driving to Grindelwald

For those who prefer to drive their own vehicle, the village is connected by good motorways and roads, with the A8 Autobahn passing through nearby Interlaken.

Ski Season and Passes

The ski season runs from December to April. Individual or group ski passes can be booked in advance for adults, children and youths, ranging from a half day to 30 day duration.
