Traveling to Cambridge
Flights
Whilst Cambridge does have its own airport, this is mostly used for private flights and training exercises, so it’s generally not the most convenient airport for visitors. However, due its close proximity to London, Stansted Airport is just a half-hour train ride away, or about forty-five minutes by car. Stansted Airport receives many flights coming in and out of the rest of Europe.
Train
Cambridge railway station is extremely well connected to the rest of the country, although many services may require a change in London. Trains between London and Cambridge run twice per hour and takes approximately 50 minutes, as well as direct trains to and from Stansted Airport.
Bus
The principal bus station in Cambridge is right in the heart of the city center and provides services from across the breadth of the country. National Express and Megabus, in particular, run regular and cost-efficient services direct to and from Cambridge, and can be a cheap alternative to rail transport.
How to Get Around Cambridge
As a very busy city, driving can be somewhat problematic in Cambridge, however, this has led to a massive increase in cycling, with an impressive quarter of the population commuting to work by bike now. There are also many inner city bus routes, along with 5 park and ride facilities to try to counteract congestion issues within the city.

Less than an hour away from London by train, the quaint city of Cambridge is particularly well known for its university.
