Departures leave from various points in Berlin city center including the main bus station, Berlin ZOB and Tegel Airport. Arrivals are at Dresden Hauptbahnhof on Bayerische Strasse. Taxis are available near all departure points.
Trains from Berlin to Dresden
Deutsche Bahn trains run from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to Dresden Hauptbahnhof with direct trains departing every two hours from the early hours of the morning until around 9:00 p.m. Direct routes have a journey time of slightly less than 2 hours. There are one to two other departures an hour on routes that involve connections at Elsterwerda-Biehla, Leipzig, Cottbus or Senftenberg, with these journeys taking up to 3 hours. Berlin Hauptbahnhof is centrally located on Europlatz near the River Spree and enjoys good links to the city's extensive transport network of U and S-Bahn trains, trams and local buses. Night bus routes operate at weekends. Dresden station is located near the old city and connected to local bus routes and four tram lines. Taxi ranks and car rental desks are located at both stations.
