Advantages
IconCheap ticket
IconAdditional seat can be booked cheaply
IconThe train is clean
Disadvantages
IconThe train is relatively old
We arrived in Kassel about 15 minutes late, which I don't think is bad, because other means of transport are often late too. The train is noticeably older, but clean. I find the seats a bit too narrow and book the extra seat right away so that I can travel more relaxed. And I find this booking okay in terms of price, as the total price is still cheaper than other means of travel. The toilets were clean and the staff were nice. A good trip and a great price.
Advantages
IconNo delay
IconRelaxed ride
Disadvantages
IconNothing
I went to Kassel a while ago. I decided to take the train because I didn't know the route and on the train you can travel in a relatively relaxed way without having to worry about it yourself. The journey was fine. It was quite clean on the train, which was probably because I travelled in the morning. I can't say much about the toilets because I didn't use them. I travelled in 2nd class, so comfort was accordingly: nothing special, but not subterranean either. The train arrived in Kassel on time, so the colleague who picked me up didn't have to wait long.
Advantages
IconWas on time
IconHad sockets
IconBistro was available
Disadvantages
IconSome toilets were defective
I had sockets that worked and wifi that was mostly fast. Toilets were available but closed due to a defect, the train was a bit crowded, but I think that's because it's party time. There was an on-board bistro and the staff were friendly. I booked my ticket via the Deutsche Bahn app, where I could have pre-booked seats. The ICE arrived on time and I didn't have to change trains.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats with sufficient equipment
IconCleanliness and hygiene
IconNo changeover
Disadvantages
IconDelay of 5 minutes
IconHigh utilisation and high volume
IconNo ticket inspection
The capacity utilisation of the train from Hanover to Kassel was very high despite the long train. That's why I found it too loud in the passenger compartment, which was also due to all the children on the train. Otherwise, I found the seats comfortable and there were plenty of power sockets and an internet connection. I also thought the cleanliness of the train was very good. The toilets in particular were very hygienic. Unfortunately, there was no ticket inspection, but this was because the train was far too long. The delay was also acceptable, at just over 5 minutes. I didn't have to change trains here.
Advantages
IconComfort
Disadvantages
IconPunctuality
When I travelled to Kassel by train about 10 months ago, I had nothing but good experiences. The helpfulness of the staff was paramount. The network connection was also very good. There are also several power sockets on the train. The cleaning staff did an excellent job of cleaning the train's shapeless sanitary facilities. The only pity was that the train was not quite on time.
