My train journey from Hamburg to Cologne was an enjoyable experience overall. The best part was undoubtedly the reliability of the train and the excellent service on board. The train left Hamburg and arrived in Cologne on time, which made my travel arrangements smooth. Knowing that you can rely on the schedule is really reassuring when travelling. The service on the train was excellent. The train staff were friendly and helpful, and there was a good range of food and drink on offer, which made the journey enjoyable. One small downer was the cleanliness, which left a lot to be desired. It would have been nice to find a clean environment. Overall, my train journey from Hamburg to Cologne was positive. The reliability and excellent service make this train connection a recommendable option, even if the cleanliness could be improved a little.

Disadvantages
IconDelay
My train journey from Hamburg to Cologne was a real pleasure that I would like to share. The two most remarkable positive features of this trip were the luxury and relaxation. The train connection offered a sense of luxury that I have rarely experienced when travelling. The carriage was stylish and well designed. The on-board amenities, including a dining option, contributed to a first-class travel experience. The opportunity to relax during the journey was really valuable. The train moved quietly and without vibrations, which made the atmosphere extremely pleasant. The relaxed journey allowed me to unwind and enjoy the scenery. One small drawback was the slight delay of the train. Although the delay was not dramatic, it was still noticeable. This was unfortunate as the journey was otherwise almost perfect. Despite the slight delay, my train journey from Hamburg to Cologne was a real pleasure. The luxury, relaxation and quality of the far outweighed the delay. I can recommend this train route to anyone looking for a first-class and relaxing way to travel between these cities.

Some time ago we went to visit our relatives in Cologne. Normally we always drive down by car, but this time we wanted to try the train. We only needed a good four hours for the whole journey and instead of spending the whole time cramped up in the car on the motorway we played Uno, read or even slept. In itself a very pleasant journey and the speed is not even possible by car. On the return journey, too, everything went smoothly, no train cancellations and a pleasant journey time. A really good experience with the train! I only used the toilet once on the way there, but everything was clean and tidy, and I actually found it quite spacious for a train. The seats were also clean and hardly worn out. We were asked once if we needed anything, which was also very polite and courteous. Positive throughout!
Advantages
IconFast connection
IconNo change
Disadvantages
IconSlight delay
IconVery full
The train connection from Hamburg to Cologne is very fast and without changing trains, which makes travelling very pleasant. Unfortunately, there was a small delay, but it wasn't too bad. The train was also very full. But that was certainly due to the time of day, as it was right at lunchtime. As a result, the background noise was quite loud. The wifi connection was relatively stable. The seating area was clean. The price-performance ratio was right.
Advantages
IconPunctual departure
IconComfortable seats
Disadvantages
IconExpensive price
The train journey from Hamburg to Cologne was very pleasant and comfortable. The reserved seat was found quickly and had a small table as well as a power socket for charging a mobile phone and tablet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The seats were comfortable and luggage was easily stored. The view of the landscape was interesting and beautiful. So the journey time flew by.

IconReliability
The train ride was very comfortable and there was a low occupancy rate. I was able to reserve a seat without any problems and the wifi connection also worked perfectly. The sanitary facilities were very well maintained and the staff were courteous. I use this connection regularly and am satisfied. Of course, with DB you always have to expect delays and train cancellations. But so far I have been lucky.
Advantages
IconOnboard bistro was delicious
Disadvantages
IconThere was a delay
I recently had the opportunity to travel by train from Hamburg to Cologne and would like to share my experience. Overall, the train journey was solid, but there were also some aspects that could be improved. The value for money of this journey was average. The fare was fair, but I would have expected a little more for the price. However, compared to other transport options such as the plane or the car, the train was still a convenient option. Booking was straightforward and there was the option to choose your seat in advance. The cleanliness of the train was fine. Carriages were mostly clean, but I noticed some dirt here and there that was not fully cleaned. The seats were acceptable, although they were a bit worn. There was plenty of space for luggage, which was handy, but I would have liked more storage space to keep my things safe. The toilets were also clean, but some were frequently occupied during the journey and not always in good condition.
Advantages
IconVery pleasant connection
IconFast train ride
Disadvantages
IconSlight delays are possible
The journey from Hamburg to Cologne was really pleasant, there was good working wifi and every seat had a power socket. The on-board bistro had a good offer, especially the many begaben offers are great. The toilets were very clean and the staff also had a very friendly manner. We had a slight delay of 5 minutes, but that is really within reason. Much better than flying!
Advantages
IconModern trains
IconWifi on the train
Iconcontactless ticket control
Iconfriendly staff
Disadvantages
IconSlight delay on the connection
IconToilet slightly dirty
I am generally satisfied with the Deutsche Bahn journey from Hamburg HBF to Cologne. The seats are equipped with sockets that allow you to charge your phone. Furthermore, the reception on the train is reliable and the wifi does what it should. The ICE is equipped with an on-board bistro, which guarantees catering during the journey. The staff are friendly and courteous. There is also the option of reserving a seat, so that even if the train is somewhat busy, you can still get a seat. Ticket control is possible digitally, so you might as well go to sleep. Unfortunately, there are frequent delays in the NRW area. The toilets on the train are also not ideal, as they are usually slightly dirty. On the whole, I can recommend the trip. The price-performance ratio is reasonable and the journey comfortable.
Advantages

That was my return journey and it was great. This train journey gets five stars because I didn't notice anything negative. My train arrived on time. The wifi was very good and I had several sockets at my comfortable seat. The train was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. Great attention was paid to hygiene and cleanliness. The view from the train during the journey was very nice. I can only recommend this trip.
