IconA little crowded
A pleasant and beautiful connection that I can gladly recommend. It was really relaxed, you get a lot. There was wifi as well as electricity on the train. The toilet was a bit messy, but there was everything you need for your business. What I didn't like so much was that it was a bit too crowded. I had to stand up a few times, but otherwise I liked this connection.

Actually, I always use my car for such routes, but this time I wanted to try it with an ICE. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Booking the online ticket was very easy and understandable. When I arrived at the station, I quickly found my platform and the train was on time. I found my seat immediately. It was comfortable and I had no aches and pains during the journey. It was quiet and pleasant in the train, I could enjoy my journey and the landscape in peace, the toilet was OK as it is in a train. Unfortunately, there was no wifi or electricity, but that didn't bother me. It was cheaper than by car. But it was a bit more time-consuming, otherwise recommendable. Positive: cheaper than by car, faster, more comfortable, coffee on the train, nice view. Negatives: a bit of a hassle, no electricity, no wifi.

I recently travelled from Frankfurt am Main to Cologne by I recently travelled by ICE. The staff were extremely friendly and eager! Unfortunately, the journey was not very comfortable as it was very noisy and the wifi didn't work. Fortunately, we didn't have to deal with delays.... Hygiene in the ICE was very good!

Booking the ticket online was no problem, I understood everything immediately and could print it out very easily. When I arrived at the main station, I quickly found my platform, where the train arrived on time. I also found my seat immediately, which was very clean and comfortable. The windows were freshly cleaned, so I had a good view of the outside world. It was pleasantly quiet on the train during the journey, there was no smell or anything else in the train. There was wifi as well as electricity and a snack bar so you could get a coffee, the toilet was neat and clean, and has a window. I was very satisfied with this connection.

In my opinion, the price for the train journey from Frankfurt am Main to Cologne was clearly too high... But the journey itself was convincing. The staff were very friendly and helpful! The comfort on the journey was definitely given by the cosy seats. The hygiene in the train was also top!

Some time ago I travelled by train from Frankfurt am Main to Cologne. The journey was unproblematic. The staff were very friendly and totally obliging! The price also convinced me a lot. It was very reasonable. Unfortunately, it was not really clean in the ICE. There was a lot of rubbish on the seats.

The train journey from Frankfurt main station to Cologne was a pleasant experience overall. The train was on time and the departure was without delay. I had booked a second class ticket, but the train was very clean and comfortable. There was enough space for passengers and luggage and the seats were comfortable and cushioned. During the journey I was able to enjoy the scenery, which was very varied along the route. There were many picturesque villages and towns as well as some stunning scenery. The train journey was also very quiet and pleasant as there were no loud noises or commotion, another plus point was that there was 1 bar on the train where I could stock up on some snacks and drinks. The prices were a bit higher than in a supermarket but still acceptable, the travel time from Frankfurt, main station to Cologne 1 hour and 20 minutes, in this time I can relax and look forward to the upcoming arrival in Cologne without any problems getting off the train. Overall, I was very satisfied with my train journey from Frankfurt main station to Cologne. The trains were clean, comfortable and the journey went smoothly. Even the wifi always worked and the staff were very nice.

Cons
IconLoud on the train
The connection was very fast. There was no need to change trains. The only stop on the way was at Frankfurt Airport. I was able to charge and use my MacBook on the journey. The seat was very clean and the seat could be adjusted. The price was relatively cheap. In the train itself, it was very noisy in the meantime due to many people talking on the phone.

IconDelay
Overall, the journey was pleasant, but unfortunately there were some problems. First of all, I have to say that the train was not quite on time. We left Frankfurt about 15 minutes late, but that wasn't a big problem for me personally. Nevertheless, it was annoying because I had a tight connection in Cologne. But then the journey itself was very pleasant. The train was clean and comfortable, and I had enough space for my legs and luggage. The wifi also worked perfectly, so I could work during the journey. Unfortunately, there were further delays due to road works on the route. In the end, we were almost an hour late, which was of course very annoying. Overall, I would still recommend the trip despite the delays. The comfort of the train and the possibility to work or relax made the journey pleasant, even if the delays were annoying.

Cons

Iconcrowded
Since I travelled during the holiday season, the train was also very full. You could have expected that, but it is still annoying when it is very loud and crowded on the train. Even some of the people had to sit on the floor, which was certainly not only uncomfortable for themselves, but also for passengers who just want to change through the carriages and have to meander through the people. Because of this, there can be some delays at some stops, which the train was able to catch up with from time to time, which was definitely a plus. The toilets were okay and there were also working power sockets. However, the wifi could only be used for surfing the internet, but not for watching videos on YouTube.

Unfortunately, I have had a very bad experience with Deutsche Bahn. I've had delays before, but never a total cancellation, which was unfortunately the case this time. So I was allowed to take an ICE later on the same route. The ICE was extremely fast and fortunately not overcrowded. There was wifi and power sockets. The staff were friendly. The train was clean and smelled fresh.
