Advantages
IconStaff greeted at boarding
IconEquipment available
IconToilets had additional functions
Disadvantages
IconVery high capacity utilisation
IconVolume on the train
IconLow number of toilets
With the regional express you can go straight through from Cottbus to Leipzig without changing trains. However, the train was very full and the noise level was very loud. The train itself had full equipment, which also worked great. However, there was only one toilet on the train, which was always occupied. It was clean and had additional features such as an automatic soap dispenser. The seats were comfortable and the staff greeted us in a friendly manner when we boarded.
Advantages
IconArrived in Leipzig on time
Disadvantages
IconImpractical if you have several suitcases that are heavy
Comfort was given (clean seats). We first had to take a bus replacement service due to roadworks. The departure point was a bit difficult to recognise. Then you were let out at a station that didn't have much accessibility, so difficult to manage on your own with two heavy suitcases. Otherwise, the staff were friendly and everything ran on time.
Advantages
IconModern equipment and comfortable seats
IconFriendly staff
IconCleanliness and hygiene
IconNo delays and without changing trains
IconAcceptable volume
Disadvantages
IconInitially high capacity utilisation
I was able to travel from Cottbus to Leipzig comfortably and without changing trains on the regional express. Unfortunately, it was very full at the beginning. When it was then attached to another part of the train in Falkenberg, the capacity utilisation was back to normal. The noise level on the train was also acceptable. I found the seats very comfortable and the train had modern equipment, such as contactless charging at the tables. There were also plenty of power sockets, a stable internet connection and plenty of legroom. The staff on the train were very friendly. I also found the cleanliness very good and the toilets were hygienic. The train was not delayed at all, so I can say that the journey was perfect.
