I travelled from Berlin to Münster to get home from my weekend holiday in Berlin. The connection was the best connection for me in terms of price and departure time, as it meant I could maximise my weekend there without having to be home late at night. Other connections were out of the question due to the departure time and higher prices, but I looked at them. What I liked best about the journey was the comfort on the train, but the one negative thing I remember was the late arrival. I travelled in the late Sunday afternoon or early evening. However, the journey was generally very comfortable thanks to the cosy seats and the pleasant atmosphere on the train. The train and the toilets were also very clean and nothing to complain about. I also made use of the opportunity to charge my mobile phone and the Wi-Fi on board, although this was rather unusable at times. As already mentioned, the train was very late. In general, however, I was very satisfied with the service. There was also an on-board restaurant, but I didn't use it. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio was completely fine, as I "only" paid €97 for this journey in total for the outward and return journeys

IconICE was 30 minutes late
From Berlin to Münster I had to change trains once in Hamm. Unfortunately, this didn't go smoothly, as the ICE from Berlin to Hamm was delayed by 30 minutes. This ICE was also very full, which is why I had to reserve a seat. However, the seating comfort, the furnishings and the service were very good. The on-board bistro was also open. From Hamm to Münster, I finally took the next regional express train, which had a normal occupancy rate and good seating comfort. There were power sockets and internet. The staff were friendly and there were no problems checking tickets. Both trains were very clean and hygienic. The ticket for this journey was also very cheap. Despite not making the connection, I can recommend the journey.

Wifi was available and very good. There were also a few power sockets. The seats were very well upholstered and very comfortable, despite sitting for a long time. The service was very friendly and courteous. It was also easy to make a reservation. The toilets were clean and sterile and had no unpleasant smell. The journey time was not long and they were very punctual. No delays. The price-performance ratio is very good. All in all, very satisfied.

After visiting an event in Berlin, I had to return home. The journey included the stops from Berlin to Münster and I have to say it wasn't exactly my best journey, but I gained a lot of experience. Unfortunately, the trains were delayed at the station again and when I had to change trains in Berlin's main station, I almost didn't get the second train because the signposting there was also very bad. On top of that, there was also the poor wifi. But at least I was able to talk to other passengers through the bad internet and thus survived the journey.
Advantages
IconFast connection
Iconclean toilet
Iconcomfortable seats
Disadvantages
Iconvery many passengers
IconConnecting train did not wait
IconNo smoking areas on the track in Berlin
The journey was rather bumpy, as the journey was supposed to take place via Hamburg Hbf, but as this train first reported a delay of almost 2 hours and finally also cancelled, an alternative connection via Hamm had to be found. The train was relatively full and boarding at Berlin Hbf was correspondingly stressful. Thanks to the seat reservation, I had a good seat on the train, but the luggage racks in the ICE were rather few. Due to the delay of the ICE, the connecting train in Hamm had already left, so I had to wait about 30 minutes more. Due to the relatively wintry conditions and the meagre expansion of the station in Hamm, this transfer time was not really nice. However, the Regio, which then arrived after a longer wait, was spacious and the passenger volume was also relatively low.
Advantages

Disadvantages
Iconpoor wifi

The ICE was very late, which meant that I didn't get my connecting train. Nevertheless, the train staff were very friendly and courteous. The wifi left a lot to be desired. The toilets were dirty and apparently not cleaned.
Advantages
IconGood service
IconNice staff
IconNo excessive capacity utilisation
Disadvantages
IconUnclean toilets
IconUnpunctual train
IconTransfer time too long
The facilities on the trip were fine, wifi and power socket was available at my place. The comfort was also good, restaurant was open around the clock. The service was excellent, super nice staff, always friendly and helpful. However, as is often the case on trains, the toilets were very dirty and the rubbish bins were overflowing with rubbish. The journey time was also good, except that the train was once again not on time. The price was fine, there have been other prices.

Items not allowed on trains typically include hazardous materials such as explosives, flammable liquids, corrosive substances, and illegal drugs. Specific prohibited items can vary by train operator and region, so please check the rules for your particular journey.

Germany uses the euro (€) as its currency. Travelers generally find it convenient to use cards, especially contactless payments, in cities and larger establishments. However, cash is still widely accepted and sometimes preferred in smaller shops, markets, and rural areas. Carrying some cash is recommended for flexibility.
In Münster, travelers should be cautious of pickpocketing, especially in crowded areas like the Prinzipalmarkt and public transport. Bicycle theft is also common, so securing bikes properly is advised. Be wary of unofficial taxi services and always use licensed providers. Scams involving fake charity collectors or street sellers may occur, so it’s best to decline unsolicited offers.
Pack lightweight, versatile clothing suitable for the destination's climate, and use secure, lockable luggage to protect belongings. Keep essential items like travel documents, medication, and valuables in a carry-on bag for easy access. Use packing organizers or cubes to maximize space and maintain order. Lastly, include a small first aid kit and personal hygiene items for added comfort during travel.
