Austin to London flights are available from many operators including British Airways, Finnair, US Airways and American Airlines. These airlines offer direct flights which take just over nine hours, they depart from Austin at around 6:00 p.m. every day. There are also hundreds of indirect Austin to London flights available each day, from Aer Lingus, Air Canada and Lufthansa, among others. These flights require at least one change, usually in Atlanta, Charlotte or Detroit.
All flights to London depart from Austin Bergstrom International Airport. The airport is around 18 kilometres south east of the city centre. This journey takes under 30 minutes on a Metro Airport bus, which leaves the city every 30 minutes. Many other bus routes are available, however they may take over an hour and require a change. Bus services generally run until around 11:30 p.m.
London is a modern city which still retains many historical attractions from the National History Museum to the Tate Modern and the Tower of London to the London Eye. Most flights from Austin land at London Heathrow Airport, those with more than one change may land at London Gatwick or London City. Each airport provides an express train service to city centre stations. Heathrow is around 25 kilometres from the city. The Heathrow Express is the fastest method of transport, reaching Paddington Station in just 15 minutes. Express trains run every 15-30 minutes until just before midnight.
