La Notte Rosa

Launched in 2006, La Notte Rosa, or the ‘Pink Night’, is a huge celebration stretching over 170kms (106miles) of the Emilia-Romagna and Marche coastline. Between the 5th–7th July, the area is lit pink from dusk until dawn, with over 400 events happening it is considered to be the ‘New Year’s Eve of the Summer’.

Party in Pink

Pink reflects the region’s hospitality, warmth and is a celebration of femininity. Expect pink buildings, decorations and fireworks!

Food for Fuel

Emilia-Romagna is famous for its food so you’ll be spoilt for culinary delights. Make sure to try a Piadina, the region’s specialty.

Music and More

With performances from Italy’s biggest icons, including this year’s Eurovision entry Mahmood, you’ll be sure to dance the night away.

Our top five towns to visit

These five towns will be holding events throughout La Notte Rosa but we’ve picked them because they’re also great places to visit anytime during the summer months.

A picture-perfect seaside town

Rimini is the most well-known town in the region and is famous for its cultural offerings. Discover iconic architecture and art from the Roman’s to Renaissance, with a bit of Fellini thrown in. With its long beaches, clear blue waters and colourful buildings, it's the quintessential Italian holiday destination.

The ‘Green Pearl of the Adriatic’

One of the most stylish towns in the Emilia region. Riccone’s city centre is lined with tall, green trees and streets full of boutiques. The contemporary art gallery Villa Franceschi is a must for those who like a side of culture with their sun.

A Lush Oasis on the Adriatic Coast

Cervia prides itself on its environmental efforts and makes a special effort to preserve the tall pine trees and salt pans that surround it. For those looking to unwind, visit the thermal baths that sit in the woods. Using local salt in its treatments, it’s a luxurious way to spend a day.

For a Fish Supper like No Other

Although small, Cesenatico has a mighty history. The Canal Harbour was designed by Leonardo da Vinci and the town has links to Garibaldi. With plenty of beaches, parks and some of the best fish Italy has to offer, it's a must for those wanting a slice of La Dolce Vita.

A Jewel for Art and History Lovers Alike

Set just slightly inland from the coast, Ravenna is famous for its ornate mosaic churches. A UNESCO site that dates back to 402BC, it has plenty of history to revel in —including Dante’s tomb.
