These trains can reach a maximum speed of 248 mph (400 km/h) whilst the commercial maximum speed is 186 mph (300 km/h). The Frecciarossa 1000 is the first high-speed train to receive an EPD (Environmental Impact Certificate) thanks to its construction and emissions level which range at 28 micrograms per passenger (per km), as well as its design which minimizes sound and vibrations for an extra smooth journey.
