Frecciarossa trains serve Business Class amenities in coaches 2 and 3 (on FR ETR500 in coaches 2, 3, and also 4) and come equipped with extra wide ergonomic and reclinable leather seats, a complimentary welcome drink, a complimentary welcome food box, crystal seat dividers for more privacy, free Wi-Fi, and power plug by each seat. Business Class coaches also have more space for large luggage and give passengers extra legroom.
The elegant, new Frecciarossa 1000 trains are top of the line in their innovation and technology. These trains can reach a maximum speed of 248 mph (400 km/h) whilst the commercial maximum speed is 186 mph (300 km/h). The Frecciarossa 1000 is the first high-speed train to receive an EPD (Environmental Impact Certificate) thanks to its construction and emissions level which range at 28 micrograms per passenger (per km), as well as its design which minimizes sound and vibrations for an extra smooth journey. Frecciarossa Business is for passengers looking for extra comfort and a bit of luxury while traveling by train. On arrival, Business Class travelers are greeted with a welcome drink (a choice between water, soft drinks or a selection of hot beverages). Passengers also receive a complimentary box of food with Italian snacks – a gluten free option is available. If you’re traveling with kids, there’s a special welcome treat plus colored pencils and a sketchbook to keep them entertained during the train ride. On top of the welcome service, Business Class passengers have access to the onboard Bistro serving a variety of 3 course menus with seasonal Italian ingredients. The seat service provided by Frecciarossa’s staff makes ordering easy and hassle-free.
As well as the wide, reclinable chairs and added space, Frecciarossa Business offers a quiet carriage for less noise and more privacy. The quiet carriage (Area del Silenzio) can be found in coach 2 and is ideal for working, or even catching a bit of shut eye as all external noises (phones, music, video) must be switched off.
Need to have a work meeting on the go? Frecciarossa trains offer a comfortable meeting area in coach 1.The meeting room is included in the price of the Executive Class ticket but can be bought for 30€ extra when traveling Business Class.
