Sevilla and Almeria are not close to each other but if you are not in a rush and have time it´s a very convenient journey. Both cities are well connected by bus and you will be able to see the authentic Andalucia through your bus window at a nice and chill pace. In my experience, it's a worthy bus ride full of nature and olive trees.
Route overview
The bus from Sevilla to Almeria takes around 5-6 hours and it covers around 400 kilometers all through Andalucia. The journey starts in Sevilla bus station Plaza de Armas and finishes in Almeria bus station. There´s a stop in between in Granada where you have to change buses and maybe have a coffee in the Granada bus station.
Transportation experience
The provider that offers the connection between Sevilla and Almeria is ALSA, one of the most efficient, fast and trustworthy bus providers in Spain. Actually it´s ideal that there´s a stop in between to have a drink and stretch your legs a bit. The first bus leg till Granada lasts 3 hours, the second bus leg lasts 2 hours.

The bus journey between Sevilla and Almeria normally takes between 5 hours to 6 hours, depending on the frequency and departure schedule of the first bus. I took the first bus in Sevilla at 8:00 am and arrived at Granada bus station at 11:00 with one hour in between to have breakfast and stretch my legs and at 12:00 the bus from Granada to Almeria took 2 hours. I arrived at 14:00. This is the fastest connection by bus between Sevilla and Almeria because the bus journey it's 5 hours plus one hour of rest. It might be that the stop over in Granada is longer or the bus legs have longer duration and that will make the bus journey longer.

ALSA bus provider is a trustworthy, fast and efficient bus provider in Spain, they offer well cared buses and comfortable seats. They don't offer services on board but with a good podcast, music, water and some snacks, the journey is great.

Conclusion
Taking the ALSA bus from Sevilla to Almeria is the most convenient and easy way to connect both cities. I booked the bus tickets in the Omio app and it was fast. I didn´t know that I would enjoy a 5-6h bus journey but I really did because I was not in a rush, I didn´t have a car and it was actually the fastest way to arrive to Almeria.
