During the bus journey from Hamburg to Copenhagen, in the European country of Denmark, you can enjoy not only the benefits inside the bus but also the outstanding view of the landscape of northern Germany and the Baltic coast of Denmark. With a journey time of just around seven hours, you can also reach your destination surprisingly quickly if the traffic volume and possible border controls play along.

The bus journey with Flixbus from Hamburg to Copenhagen in Denmark was unfortunately not a positive experience. Even though the equipment of the bus and the bus driver made a really positive impression as always, there were a few complications this time. Firstly, we were stuck at the German-Danish border for some time, which led to long delays in the journey time, which was already approaching 8 hours. In addition, the bus was quite full, which didn't have a more positive effect on the situation.

On this day we travelled from Hamburg ZOB to Copenhagen. The journey was very pleasant and the specified time was kept to without incident. I used the power sockets during the journey and they worked really well. Unfortunately, the wifi was not optimal, this could also be due to the crossing of national borders. In addition, the seats were in wonderful condition, which rounded off the experience well.

We recommend using the train as it is the most popular way to get from Hamburg to Copenhagen among Omio's users.
Denmark uses the Danish krone (DKK) as its currency. Travelers generally find card payments more convenient and widely accepted across Denmark, especially in cities, though having some cash on hand is useful for small purchases or in rural areas.
In Copenhagen, travelers should be aware of pickpocketing, especially in crowded areas like public transport, tourist attractions, and busy shopping streets. Scams involving fake charity collectors or individuals posing as police officers asking for ID or money are also reported. It's important to use official taxis or rideshare services and avoid unlicensed operators. Overall, Copenhagen is considered safe, but staying vigilant with personal belongings and avoiding isolated areas at night enhances safety.
Pack lightweight, versatile clothing suitable for the destination's climate, and use secure, lockable luggage to protect belongings. Keep essential items like travel documents, medication, and valuables in a carry-on bag for easy access. Use packing organizers or cubes to maximize space and maintain order. Lastly, include a small first aid kit and personal hygiene items for added comfort during travel.
