I am from Santiago de Compostela, and when I travel to Portugal, I often find myself passing through Porto. There are no direct flights from Galicia to Porto, so it is often necessary to travel by road. The last few times I traveled to Porto, I have taken the bus from A Coruña. Conclusion
However, the long trip is always worth it when I finally get to Porto. One of the things that I enjoy most about this city is taking a stroll around, looking for a place where I can have some grilled fish. This is one of the things that Porto does best. I also enjoy browsing through second-hand shops and small independent stores. And if I have the time, I always make it a point to visit the Galeria Cruzes Canhoto, which is an unusual art gallery located on Rua Miguel Bombarda and is famous for its collection of outsider and folk art. After the long bus ride from Galicia, spending the afternoon in that manner is the best way for me to arrive in Porto.
