One weekend, I had to travel to Ferrol to visit a group of friends. One of them has a small holiday house near Ferrol, and we planned to spend a few nights there. Then we would visit a small town nearby, called Mugardos, which is famous for its seafood. The majority of my friends had gone there earlier that day. I, however, left later and chose to take the bus. I was surprised to find that it was a fast and cheap journey between the two cities.

The distance between A Coruña and Ferrol is around 18 kilometers. This means it is one of the shortest intercity bus trips you can take. There are very frequent buses between the two cities. There are around 30 buses every day. The good news is that most of the buses are direct. So, you will not have to make any changes. The distance is relatively short. The buses cover the distance in 20 minutes. On average, the buses take around 22 minutes to cover the distance.
Transportation experience
For my trip, I took a Monbus service leaving from A Coruña. The bus station was not difficult to navigate, and it did not take long to find the platform from which the correct service was leaving. The duration of the trip was about 45 minutes, somewhat longer than some of the quicker services available. The route took smaller roads that ran along the coast, making it a pleasant trip but somewhat winding.
