The nearest rail station from Tallinn Lennart Meri Airport is the Ulemiste train station, located about half a mile (800 meters) from the airport near Ulemiste Keskus. The station offers access to a commuter rail line and regional rail of Elron. People travel from the rail station to the airport through the tram line 4 and bus lines 65 and 49. Bus line 65 also offers a connection between Lasnamae district to the Airport.

The current facilities at Tallinn Lennart Meri Airport include one passenger terminal and four cargo terminals along with 14 terminal gates and five taxiways. The airport has a single asphalt-concrete runway, which is large enough to accommodate wide-bodied aircrafts. The terminal facilities have departure area shops that sell a wide range of products that include cosmetics, perfume souvenirs, liquor and travel accessories. The departure area has many selections of snack bars, restaurants and cafes, providing a wide range of dishes and perfect views of the airfield. Tallinn Airport has facilities for the physical challenged, including bathrooms, elevators, lamps, specialized wheelchairs and designated parking areas for disabled passengers. Upon request from the airlines, there are special wheelchairs for transporting disabled travelers to and from the aircraft. Designated parking spaces are available at the front of the terminal building specifically for disabled passengers. Passengers requiring additional assistance should contact the airline before booking the flight.  Intercity bus line 158 and intercity bus line, Täistunniekspress, operates from Tartu to Tallinn city and stops at the airport. These buses stop at various destinations on the route, including Kose crossroad, Mao and Puhu.  

Local tips: how to travel to the airport like a local

Traveling to the airport is rather easy and relatively cheap compared to major European cities. Since the tram began moving to the airport, the Tallinn public transit has become very useful. This is mainly because it is free for the residents. Buying a one-way ticket from the driver via a bus costs 2 euros. It is recommended to purchase a prepaid card and load it with some cash. This way, a one-hour ticket will cost only 2 euros. Trains provide a quick and fun way to travel to the airport and between cities.  As for food, it is as good as anywhere else. However, the prices can be high, with only a few restaurants with reasonably priced lunch menus. Travelers can grab a quick bite at most of the major gas stations.
