My train journey in second class from Dresden to Hamburg was pleasant and uncomplicated throughout. The train was clean and well-maintained, and the seats were comfortable enough for the four-hour journey. I had enough space for my luggage, which made the journey more relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive and were quick to help with any questions or concerns. During the journey, there were regular announcements about the stops and connections, which made it easier to find my way around. The atmosphere in the carriage was quiet, so I was able to use the time to read and enjoy the passing scenery. I was able to travel from Dresden to Hamburg comfortably and without changing trains on the Eurocity. It wasn't very busy, so I didn't have to reserve a seat. The interior was clean and the toilets looked hygienic. The staff were friendly and the on-board bistro was open. However, the ticket price was very expensive. But the journey time was short. The train was on time all the way to Hamburg.

We travelled to Hamburg to see the Lion King musical. The journey was very relaxed. Our compartment was quiet, the seats were comfortable and there was enough space for our luggage. The only thing that caused a bit of a commotion was a school class. The toilets were up to train standard. All in all, a quiet and pleasant journey - definitely better than travelling by car

IconThere was little room for the suitcases
It was good that there were sockets and wifi on this train, otherwise the journey would be a bit boring. The seats were comfortable and other things, were normal as always. The toilet could have been cleaner, but it was ok. The price was right for it. I was satisfied.

The seating and, for example, the wifi, the available power for devices, as well as the general comfort, everything was just right. The toilet was, I must say, surprisingly clean, as were the other hygienic conditions. The price was right, as usual. Only the passengers were a nuisance, but that's not the staff's fault.

I recently took the ICE from Dresden to Hamburg. The price of the journey convinced me. The facilities were very good, the wifi worked! The hygienic condition in the train also convinced me. Unfortunately, some things went wrong on the journey, so we had to deal with very long delays.

I travelled by Deutsche Bahn from Dresden to Hamburg on 04.03.2016 and I found the journey pleasant and inexpensive, but there were some things I didn't quite like. Let's get to the good things. There was wifi, the train arrived exactly on time and the staff were friendly. The seats were not bad for 2nd class, you could sit comfortably on the seats for a long time. Now we come to the not so optimal things. The food was expensive, which is not so bad, but in my opinion so few people buy anything in the on-board bistro. Also, the toilets were not clean and would like to see more hygiene in the toilets. Seat reservation was easy and my seat was not occupied by any other passenger. You could get information about the journey via the Deutsche Bahn app or there was also a timetable at the station where delays and tracks were displayed. Overall, I still found the journey good and would travel by train again.

This was my return journey and it deserves 5 stars as it was a very great ride. At the station, my train arrived on time, I got on, sat down and immediately noticed how comfortable my seat was. Then I ordered a tea and a croissant, which was very fresh and had a very intense taste. The temperature in the train was very neutral, the wifi was also very good the whole way. I would also like to mention the cleanliness and attention to hygiene. Great ride.
Advantages
IconPleasant ride
Disadvantages
IconHygiene deficiencies
I went to Hamburg by train at the time and I can say almost nothing but positive things about the journey. I found the journey very pleasant and comfortable, the noise level was reasonable and there was nothing to regret about the catering either. In terms of equipment, everything was also available. The service was very good as the staff were very polite and helpful when I had questions. The train was also right on time. The value for money was also pretty good. However, I would definitely like to see more hygiene in the toilets next time I travel.
Advantages
Iconcheap ticket
Iconkind staff
This was my return trip and it gets 5 stars because I liked everything. I particularly liked the food and it was also relatively cheap. The staff were very nice. I had good wifi, a table at the comfortable seat. I also had power sockets at the seat. I am very happy to pass on this great ride and the cleanliness also deserves a lot of mention. I was very comfortable and the train arrived on time.
Advantages
IconAir conditioning
Disadvantages
Icondirty toilets
The price-performance ratio of this journey was very good, as I booked it directly together in the super Sparpreis as a return journey. The journey was pleasant in itself, which was mainly due to the very good air conditioning. In the summer it was of course very hot, but the air conditioning meant that the journey could pass very pleasantly without having to sweat to death. The staff was very nice and the train was not late either. The internet didn't work so well now and then, but it was enough for the most part, such as for WhatsApp. Unfortunately, however, the toilets were not clean at all and were already very unpleasant, so I couldn't use them until one of the staff was pointed out. What was very positive was that it was taken care of immediately and you could then also use the toilets. The seats were comfortable and all the sockets worked perfectly for my electronic devices.

On the return journey from Dresden to Hamburg, I travelled by ICE in second class. The train arrived on time in Dresden and was in Hamburg at about the specified time. Despite not having a seat reservation, I had a seat for the entire journey. The seats are very comfortable and offer a power socket. The wifi was very good this time and the internet connection was stable. The toilets were very clean. The staff on board were very helpful and helped me a lot with a problem. The entire journey was very pleasant and without any major interruptions or disruptions. This is how all train journeys should be!

IconTrain was too late
This was my journey in 2nd class, I travelled alone. There was one small thing I didn't like, and that was the train's slight delay, but otherwise I liked everything. The seats were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and polite. They took care of hygiene with disinfectant, for example. There was a wide choice of food. The wifi was good. Despite the small delay, I recommend the trip as it was the only negative. Besides, this was my return trip.

The Dresden-Hamburg route on the IC can be recommended. In addition to the short journey time of less than 5 hours compared to the car, the train has power sockets at the seats. Comfortable seats, pleasant noise level. Service and hygiene are comparable to other trains.
Advantages
IconThe comfortable seats
IconThe cleanliness was excellent
IconThe good and nice service
Disadvantages
IconThe facilities: there were no power sockets at my seat
IconThe volume was very high due to a family
IconThe high costs
My train journey from Dresden to Hamburg was mixed overall. On a positive note, the train was impressively clean and the seats were comfortable. The train staff were professional and friendly, which made the journey pleasant. Nevertheless, there were some negative points. The lack of a power socket at my seat proved to be impractical, especially for travellers wanting to charge their devices. This could be remedied by improving the provision of power sockets at each seat. The noise level on the train was high due to a loud family, which made the journey less pleasant. Another critical aspect was the comparatively high cost of the train ticket. Compared to other modes of transport, I found the prices to be relatively high, which detracted from the overall value for money. Despite these shortcomings, I was able to enjoy the journey for the most part thanks to the cleanliness, comfortable seats and friendly service. An improvement in the facilities, especially the availability of power sockets, could further optimise the train journey from Dresden to Hamburg. At the same time, a review of ticket prices would be desirable to make the train journey more affordable for all passengers.
Advantages
IconVery clean
IconComfortable seats
IconNice service
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi at my place
IconLong journey
IconExpensive ticket
My personal experience on the train journey from Dresden to Hamburg was varied and characterised by different impressions. The exceptional cleanliness of the train is particularly positive - everything seemed fresh and well-maintained. The seats also proved to be not only comfortable but also well-padded, which was particularly pleasant on this long journey. The service on board was friendly and attentive throughout. Unfortunately, however, there were a few points that somewhat clouded my overall impression. First of all, the journey took longer than expected, which affected my schedule quite a bit. The expensive ticket put a strain on my budget and detracted from my enjoyment of the journey. The train's facilities also left a lot to be desired, as there was no wifi at my seat. Despite these critical points, the train journey remains an acceptable option for comfort and service. However, an optimisation of the journey duration and ticket prices would be desirable. Overall, the journey was not perfect, but the positive aspects such as cleanliness, comfortable seats and friendly service mean that I can still recommend the train journey from Dresden to Hamburg.
