HygieneI travelled from Berlin to Basel in the morning on the FlixTrain and was pleasantly surprised overall. The price was unbeatable, especially for such a long journey. The staff on board were friendly and helpful, which made the journey very pleasant. I particularly liked the fact that the train departed and arrived on time - I've had different experiences with other providers. The wifi connection was stable enough to work and stream music on the move without any problems. The only real downside was the cleanliness: the toilets could definitely have been better maintained. Overall, however, I enjoyed my journey with FlixTrain and would happily travel again!

The only real drawback was the volume - sometimes it was quite noisy due to conversations, announcements or noises from outside. The staff were friendly and helpful, so I felt well looked after. The train was also on time, which gave me planning security. One disadvantage, however, is the price, as the journey was more expensive than I would have expected from FlixTrain. All in all, a great journey!

I particularly liked the beautiful view during the journey, as you can look out of the window and enjoy the scenery as it passes by. Another plus point was the free wifi, which was mostly stable during the journey, and the cleanliness of the train, which left a positive impression. The price was also really favourable compared to other providers, which made the journey even more attractive.
One disadvantage, however, was the punctuality, as we arrived in Basel a little late, which was a bit stressful. It was also quite noisy on the train at times, which sometimes interfered with a relaxed journey. Overall, I would still recommend the connection if you are looking for a cheap and comfortable way to travel from Berlin to Basel.

Despite the challenges posed by cancelled trains (a storm and vandalism were the cause), I am a rail fan.
Of course, we didn't have a reservation for the train that took us out of Berlin.
While the second class in Berlin Südkreuz was partially evacuated with police assistance due to overcrowding, we were even allowed to sit on the floor in first class. In Leipzig, the issue of partial evacuation was repeated, fortunately we were again left unmolested and were even able to get two seats for the family.
Fortunately, thanks to the massive legroom in the wide seats, it is no problem for four people (with two children) to share two seats.
All in all, despite the circumstances, for me the best option for travelling from Berlin to Basel.
