I travelled by train from Troisdorf-Spich to Cologne in mid-August and was satisfied. The carriage was clean, the seats were very comfortable and the most important thing was that the train arrived or departed on time. Booking via the DB app was also very simple and straightforward. The journey was also relatively quick. Unfortunately, there was no window to open and air conditioning was not on, if it existed at all, which is of course not pleasant in the middle of August.

Disadvantages
IconCondition of the train
I took the Deutsche Bahn from Troisdorf to Cologne. The train arrived on time and made a great impression from the outside. The sanitary facilities were super clean and smelled pleasant. The corridor and the seating areas looked rather worn and used. The wifi worked perfectly. Unfortunately, there were no sockets. However, the connection was fast and uncomplicated. I was in the centre of Cologne within 20 minutes of Troisdorf. Simply super
Advantages
IconShort route
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctual
For my daily commute, I use the train connection from Troisdorf to Cologne. Especially in the mornings, the S-Bahn is often cancelled. The most frequent reason given for this is staff absences or illness. You can't rely on the punctuality of the trains. As a result, the trains are usually very crowded and you can't get a seat. I don't think that's a bad thing, because the train moves quickly and you get to your destination relatively quickly.
