IconFast arrival
IconOnboard restaurant
Disadvantages
IconUnpunctuality (15min)
IconAir conditioning not optimal
IconToilets not very clean although there was no activity on the train beforehand
I am really happy with this ticket, ordering and receiving it by mail was quick. It was not a big hassle to find the train as there were friendly DB staff to help you with the big station. I will choose the train again which runs on this route, it is much more pleasant than travelling this route by car. The ticket inspectors were also helpful and friendly, as the Bahncard disappeared that day, you were still able to find me in the system. I travelled in May.
Advantages
IconWCs clean
IconSeats comfortable
IconSockets available
Disadvantages
IconVery much late
IconVery hot
IconCompletely overcrowded
IconWifi not really usable
Due to a repair on the train, the departure of the ICE in Nuremberg was delayed to over 70 minutes in no time. The train was completely overcrowded and it was almost unbearable on this very hot day. The wifi was not really usable, but at least I was able to find a very last seat, which is of course more comfortable than the floor where many people had to sit. Surprisingly, given the fullness of the train, at least the toilets were quite clean. 2 stars, because the train staff did their best to keep the mood light, water was distributed and you get 25% compensation for delays of more than 1 hour. All in all, I would have preferred to arrive in Regensburg on time.
Advantages
IconPrice-performance
Disadvantages
IconLack of air conditioning
When I took the regional train from Nuremberg to Regensburg in summer, the train was not very busy, so I got a seat without a reservation. The staff who checked my ticket were very friendly and the train was overall very clean. I didn't have to change trains on the route from Nuremberg to Regensburg and the train was on time. I also had a power socket at my seat. However, there were only power sockets at selected seats. However, since even the journey on the regional train is only a little less than 2 hours, it is possible to cover the distance without a power connection. On the day I travelled, it was very warm and unfortunately the air conditioning in the train did not work properly, so it was uncomfortably hot in the compartment for the entire journey. As I travelled by regional train, there was no wifi on the train, but especially with the Bayernticket, I think that the price-performance ratio for the journey is unbeatable - I would prefer the train journey to a car journey again any time.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
IconPunctual
IconShort journey duration
Disadvantages
IconWifi broke down
The train journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg on the Regionalexpress 50 was pleasant. The route offered picturesque scenery and the train was on time. The cleanliness was really exemplary, including the toilets. The journey time was extremely short, which was also positive. Unfortunately, the wifi connection wiped out frequently. This should be improved. Otherwise, I can recommend this connection without hesitation.
Advantages
IconBeautiful landscapes
IconPunctuality
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
The journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg was on the Regionalexpress 50 and it was a pleasant and quiet evening journey. The train was not particularly full. The train was clean, well-maintained and in perfect technical condition, as it seemed to me. It left Nuremberg on time and arrived in Regensburg without delay. The scenery along the route was well worth seeing. I found it a pity that the wifi was not available.
Advantages
IconPunctual
IconFriendly staff
Disadvantages
IconUncomfortable seats
IconFull train
The train journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg was pleasant overall. The scenic route offered beautiful views. The staff were polite and helpful, which I really appreciated. On the negative side, the seats were not particularly comfortable and the train was also quite full. On the positive side, there were no delays on the entire journey. The price of this connection was also quite good.
Advantages
IconClean
IconNo delay
Disadvantages
IconAir conditioning set too cold
The train journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg on the Regionalexpress 50 was pleasant overall. The departure was on time and the seats were comfortable. The journey offered a beautiful view of the countryside. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was set too cold, which affected the comfort somewhat. Apart from that, I can positively emphasise the cleanliness of the train. All in all, a recommendable connection.

The journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg on the regional express was extremely pleasant, as it took less than an hour. It was very tidy and organised on board. The toilets were clean and well maintained. The scenery along the route was picturesque. There was a bistro on board where I treated myself to a delicious coffee. The train reached Regensburg without any delays. All in all, a positive experience.
Advantages

IconGood equipment
Disadvantages
IconNone
The journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg was completed very quickly. I found this particularly pleasant. I also found the indoor climate pleasant, as the air conditioning did a good job. There was a bistro, free wifi and power sockets on board. Overall, the train was very well equipped. The departure from Nuremberg was on time and the destination was reached without delay. I can heartily recommend this connection.
Advantages
IconBeautiful landscapes
IconPunctual
IconAmple seating
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
It was a quick and uncomplicated journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg on the Regionalexpress 50. The train was clean and not overcrowded, so I was able to get a seat without any problems. There was beautiful scenery along the route, which made the journey particularly enjoyable. The train was not delayed for the entire duration of the journey. Unfortunately, there was no wifi on the regional express, but there were power sockets.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconLong journey duration
I travelled from Nuremberg to Regensburg on the regional express and did not reserve a seat, but there were plenty of seats available. I can't say too much about the service, as the staff hardly appeared at all. However, the announcements were clear and understandable. The journey took about an hour. In my opinion, it could have been a little quicker. It was clean on board.
Advantages
IconFriendly staff and fast ticket inspection
IconComfortable seats with power sockets
IconNo delays and no changes
IconClean train and toilets
Disadvantages
IconInternet connection was missing
The train from Nuremberg to Regensburg was normally full and had a normal volume. The seats on the train were comfortable and also had a large table. There were also plenty of power sockets. Unfortunately, there was no internet connection. The staff were very friendly and carried out a quick ticket check. I also found the cleanliness of the train to be okay, which I must emphasise, especially in the toilets. All in all, the journey was good, especially as the train was hardly delayed and I didn't have to change trains.
Advantages
IconComfortable seats
IconSufficient light
IconFriendly service
Disadvantages
IconSockets not at every seat
My journey from Nuremberg to Regensburg by train on 11 July 2023 was a great experience. The comfort of the train was great - the seats were comfortable and the light was sufficient. However, the charging sockets were not available at every seat, which was a little disappointing. The service staff were friendly and helpful when I had questions or needed help. Some of the toilets on the train were clean, but some less so. Overall, my journey took about two hours, although there were some delays. The value for money was good as I bought cheap tickets on the long distance service. All in all, this trip was very enjoyable and I would happily do it again!
Advantages
IconPunctuality
Disadvantages
IconDirty
IconNo wifi
The journey from Regensburg to Nuremberg was fine so far. I found it a little negative that the train was not as clean as I would have liked. The windows were dirty and the floor was sticky. Otherwise, there were enough seats, as the train was not full. There were no delays during the entire journey. The train did not have wifi. But there were enough sockets.
Advantages
IconQuiet
IconFast
It was a very pleasant and quiet journey, which was a great advantage for me as I was able to work during the journey. Also because there was working wifi and working sockets. The toilets were clean this time, not like the ones on my outward journey. The staff were very friendly and helpful to me. The seats were comfortable and my back didn't hurt even though I was sitting the whole journey.
