Advantages
IconFast and cheap
Disadvantages
IconUnfortunately not quite suitable for wheelchair users
The train connection between Kiel and Hamburg was actually quite OK. What I noticed at Kiel station was that the lift for wheelchair users was broken, so it was a big problem for people with limited mobility. The train arrived on time and left without delays. The seats were well cleaned and very soft, but the cleanliness could be improved. The toilet facilities were average and reasonably clean. Staff were not always present, but in between a member of staff would come by. Overall, this train service was fine, but could be improved in a few ways.
Advantages
IconOn time
IconQuick
Disadvantages
IconSomewhat unclean
The train arrived on time and made a neat impression. Accessibility was ensured, with ramps and lifts for wheelchair users. The train kept to the timetable, which made for a safe journey. The toilets were clean and well equipped. Accessibility was provided. The bistro offered a selection of food and drinks. Prices and quality were reasonable. Seats were comfortable and the interior was attractively designed. Power sockets were available, one negative thing I noticed, the train was a little unclean and could be improved in this area.

Disadvantages
IconNot clean
The journey from Kiel to Hamburg was quite ok. The train was on time, which was positive. The negative thing was that the train was not clean. The floor was sticky and the windows were dirty. The journey took just under 1.5 hours. The staff were friendly and the service was good overall.
Advantages
IconEverything went off without a hitch
IconPositive experience
Disadvantages
IconNo defects found
This train connection worked wonderfully. Although I am used to Deutsche Bahn trains always being late, they arrived and departed very punctually. I sat by the window and had a very comfortable seat, which was adjustable and had a side pocket. The train had a stable wifi connection as well as a power source, the train looked tidy and it was spacious and clean. The staff were helpful and able to answer all my questions. The toilet looked a bit messy, but quite hygienic. I reached my destination very quickly and can be on time for my appointment. My recommendation.

I took the ICE from Kiel to Hamburg. The train arrived only five minutes later, which is totally fine Point inside, the train made a clean and well-kept impression. The floor was very clean, as were the seats. The passengers were very pleasantly quiet. I was even able to access the wifi available on the ICE, as well as charge the laptop I was carrying. All in all, I found this a very quiet and pleasant connection and would use it again at any time.
Advantages
IconVery fast
IconProblem-free
Disadvantages
IconIt smelled a little unpleasant
This train connection went really smoothly. Booking through the app was very easy, in my opinion. The train arrived on time and looked modern. The staff were very friendly and helpful, once on the train I felt an unpleasant smell, but I guess that's normal with so many people. The toilet was clean and complied with the guidelines, there was wifi as well as electricity on the train, and a snack bar. I reached my destination quickly and am actually very satisfied with this train connection.
Advantages
IconSmooth online reservation
IconFast train connection
Disadvantages
IconMessy
I booked this second-class train connection with the ICE 619 online, which worked out well. Unfortunately, the train arrived unpunctually, but we are used to that from Deutsche Bahn by now. Boarding was smooth and I quickly found a free seat, which was not completely clean, but soft and comfortable, and the seats could also be adjusted and there was an armrest. The floor was sticky and made unpleasant noises, as did the walls, which were a bit dirty. A member of staff was present and was able to help me. There was wifi as well as a power socket on the train, which was very beneficial for people who want to work on the move. The toilet was inconveniently not that clean and smelled unpleasantly, plus there was a lack of paper towels. Despite all these inconveniences, I reached my destination quickly. As far as the online ticket price is concerned, I'm quite satisfied, it's still within reasonable limits.

I travelled from Kiel to Hamburg by train. The train took about an hour and it was a very pleasant, quiet journey. The train arrived right on time and travelled the route quickly. Unfortunately, I didn't like the cleanliness of the seating areas and the corridor. The sanitary facilities, on the other hand, were clean and smoking was very pleasant. I would travel by train again at any time and leave the car behind. I can only recommend the transfer as everything went smoothly and quickly
Advantages
IconTrain was clean
Disadvantages
IconSlightly delayed
I was travelling with a colleague. Wifi and power sockets were available and the train was in a clean condition, you can't complain about the toilet either. The staff were nice to us. Unfortunately, we arrived at our destination station in Hamburg 3 minutes late.
Advantages
IconFriendly train staff
Disadvantages
Iconslightly delayed
I am satisfied with the trip. The staff were courteous. Wifi was available and so were power sockets. The train was in a clean and tidy condition, and the toilet was also perfectly fine. The only thing to criticise would be that we arrived 3 minutes late.
Advantages
IconTrain departed directly from Kiel
IconTrain was clean
IconNo need to change trains
Disadvantages
Iconyou can be unlucky and it is noisier in the compartment
The journey started first thing in the morning from Kiel. The train departed directly from Kiel. Arriving early therefore also ensures a good seat. It is of course also possible to reserve a seat in advance. The train was clean, the seats were comfortable and wifi was available throughout. There was also a power socket at every seat so that you could work with your laptop. The train is quiet and you virtually glide to Hamburg - it's a pleasant journey and the journey is only interrupted by a stopover in Neumünster. The journey took 1:17 hours and we arrived in Hamburg on time. The cost is reasonable. I can recommend this short transit by train, you arrive rested.
