DelaysI travelled to Hamburg with friends for a girls' weekend. We travelled on Thursday morning. We had a seat reservation at a table on the train, which was very comfortable for us. The train was quite full. We didn't use the train toilet or the on-board restaurant. Unfortunately, the train arrived a little late in Hamburg.
We did not make use of the service.
The price of the ticket for the outward and return journey was 58 euros.

Today I travelled by ICE from Kassel to Hamburg to see the city.
The ICE was 30 minutes LATE and very busy with passengers, so I couldn't get a seat.
I then sat down in the on-board bistro and drank a water. The wifi was ok, but had some dropouts. Power sockets were available at the seat. The toilets were in working order.
I bought the ticket via the Deutsche Bahn app, where I could have pre-booked seats, which might have been an advantage given the occupancy rate. The staff were friendly and helpful. I didn't have to change trains as it was a direct connection.
