The train journey was a complete success. The train arrived on time, the carriage was clean and quiet, and my seat was comfortable. The wifi worked throughout and the temperature in the carriage was pleasant. The very friendly and attentive staff were particularly positive. The announcements were also informative and easy to understand. I haven't travelled so relaxed for a long time. In the end, I arrived on time!

The journey to Sylt was a relaxed train journey with a lot of comfort, not much food but at least a pleasant climate, which was very cool. The train was on time, the staff was nice and it was just as empty as described (low capacity expected) I can only recommend it as more relaxed than the RE's.

For our wedding, my husband and I were given a weekend on Sylt as a gift. We travelled by train from Hamburg. The train started with a slight delay, but that wasn't too bad. We had very comfortable seats. And we could also get some delicious snacks in the on-board bistro, especially during the crossing from the mainland. There is a very impressive view of the island from the train.

Normally we always drove from Hamburg to Sylt by car to Niebüll and then the last part by train. So since you have to take the train either way, we thought, we might as well go all the way. This was a very good decision, you saved time and even effectively money. We can only recommend this. The train was absolutely fine, very clean and comfortable. It was a bit outdated, but that didn't bother us. The train staff were super friendly. The power sockets at each seat were also great, so you could relax and watch series.
