The train journey from Hamburg Central Station to Husum was very pleasant. The train was very clean and punctual. It was also nice that the toilets were very clean and hygienic. Once again, the staff were very nice and answered questions. The information on the train about the journey was also extremely helpful. The available wifi and sockets, which can be found at every seat, worked perfectly. It would have been possible to reserve a seat. There were enough free seats. Unfortunately, in December 2023, the railway took all restaurants on Intercity trains out of service. Since then, there has only been a small snack point where snacks can be purchased. So you should definitely take your own food with you if necessary. Nevertheless, the train is a good alternative to travelling by car. The journey takes around two hours. You don't have to change trains.
