On my journey from Leipzig to Eisenach, I also travelled this section from Erfurt. If you only want to cover this distance, I don't think the ICE is worth it, as it is only 15 minutes faster than the local train at more than twice the price. Everything was clean and on time, the conductor was very friendly, but it was also crowded and especially from Erfurt quite noisy in the train. The wifi and the sockets worked and there was also enough information about possible connecting trains.
Advantages
IconPunctual
We arrived at our destination station Eisenach 2 minutes earlier than scheduled. The conductor was friendly to us and the train was in good condition. Power sockets were available, as was wifi, but it didn't always work well. The toilet was easy to use.

The journey was very pleasant, we even arrived on time at our destination station in Eisenach. The train staff were very friendly to us. Wifi and power sockets were available. The train was well cleaned, even the toilet was clean and it was quiet in my carriage.

Disadvantages

I have to admit that the train journey started with a disappointment. The sanitary facilities were unfortunately not very hygienic or clean. To be fair, I have to say that the wifi was really very good and I can't complain in terms of comfort. I also rate the train connection as very fair in terms of price. It was quiet on the train and the staff were always helpful. Recommendation.
