It is definitely quicker than being stuck in a traffic jam by car. It takes me just under 40 minutes to get there. Unfortunately, there is no wifi and no electricity on the train.
But there is a fresh air supply and enough light. The toilets are clean and the ticket is relatively cheap.
Definitely a quick route from Eisenach to Erfurt main station.
