Eastbourne Station is conveniently located in the centre of the town. Additionally, there are plenty of buses and cabs running from just outside to assist in your onward travel. The station has direct services to and from London Victoria, Brighton, Hastings and Ashford International. The train journeys to Brighton and Hastings are particularly enjoyable with beautiful coastlines and the stunning south downs. Eastbourne is a wonderful seaside resort. The town is probably most famous for the cliffs at Beachy Head and its historical sea-front area. Beachy Head is situated just outside of the town in the beautiful South Downs. These wonderful chalk cliffs rise to 531 feet (162 meters) above sea level at the highest point, offering stunning views from the top. It is also possible to take a boat trip from Eastbourne along the coast to the cliffs. Eastbourne sea-front has a pebble beach and many historical buildings. There are several excellent museums and art galleries, as well as parks and gardens in the area. The town also has many fantastic restaurants, bars, public houses, music venues, cultural events and nightclubs to enjoy. Unsurprisingly, Eastbourne has also been voted one of the happiest UK locations to live.
