It takes about 3.5 hours by ICE train to get from one state capital, Dresden, to the other, Magdeburg. Even though my train unfortunately arrived about 25 minutes late at the platform in Dresden, I was quite satisfied with the journey. The train's facilities were definitely satisfactory, wifi, toilets and the board bistro, for example, were in excellent condition and both the staff at the station and on the train were very motivated and competent.
