On my last trip to Magdeburg, I had a good seat without a seat reservation. There was good wifi and a power socket right next to it. This is very important for me as I am always working while travelling. The staff were very nice, but unfortunately the bistro was closed and you couldn't buy anything to eat. Apart from that, I have nothing to criticise about the trip.

The outward journey from Berlin to Magdeburg went quite well. I didn't have to change trains and the journey was pleasantly short. However, the wifi was disrupted almost all the way and it was quite loud in the compartment, which disturbed my reading. The return journey was on time, but the seat was saggy and uncomfortable. At least the staff were always friendly and the train left and arrived on time. Overall it was fine, but for the price I would have expected a bit more comfort.

I was really pleased with the train journey. The train arrived on time, which saved me a lot of stress. The view during the journey was really nice and made the time pleasant. The seats were comfortable and I found it super handy that there were enough sockets to charge my devices. The only thing was that the volume was sometimes a bit high, but that didn't bother me too much. All in all, a very pleasant journey!

The train was about 20 minutes late, which made my connection tight. The air conditioning only worked partially, which was not pleasant in warm weather. The seats were okay, but not particularly comfortable. The compartment was quite quiet, which was at least relaxing. Overall, a mediocre journey with room for improvement. I had expected more for the price.

From Berlin to Magdeburg I took the Regionalexpress which has a slightly longer journey time than the Intercity. This train was very busy at the time as it was travelling with a reduced number of carriages. The train itself was very clean and the toilets were hygienic. The staff were very friendly and the seats were relatively comfortable. There were also plenty of power sockets, a working internet connection and a snack machine in the centre of the train. There were no delays to Magdeburg and I didn't have to change trains either. Overall, I can therefore recommend the journey.

My other train journey went almost without a hitch. Boarding was easy, my reserved seat was available and comfortable. I noticed the particularly pleasant, quiet atmosphere in the carriage, which made for a relaxed journey. Unfortunately, the toilet was not particularly clean, which detracted somewhat from the overall impression. The journey was otherwise pleasant, the temperature in the train was well regulated and the staff were friendly. I really appreciated the punctual arrival.

The connection was perfect, as it took me directly to my destination without having to change trains. The comfort was excellent, with plenty of legroom and quiet compartments. The views during the journey were surprisingly beautiful, especially through the rural sections. I particularly liked the onboard bistro, which offered good snacks and hot drinks. The punctuality was to the minute, which you don't often experience. The toilets were clean and cleaned regularly. Compared to travelling by car, the journey was much more relaxed and hardly more expensive.

The journey was punctual and the process was well organised. Unfortunately, the comfort was not convincing. The seats were hard and offered little legroom. I could neither read properly nor relax. It was also quite noisy in the compartment throughout. Acceptable for shorter journeys, but I would like a little more comfort for longer journeys.

Unfortunately, the journey was quite frustrating. I had reserved a seat, but the car was overcrowded, there were people standing in the aisle and I could barely get through. My seat was taken away from me and there was no control. It was very noisy in the carriage, both from conversations and squeaking noises from the doors. The train attendant was also barely visible. This was disappointing for such a connection. At least the train wasn't late, so a few more points.

I was delighted with the journey. The comfort on the train was at a really high level. The seat was wide, well-padded and even had a footrest. I could lean back and relax and had plenty of room, even for my luggage. The coach was quiet, clean and pleasantly air-conditioned. The table seat in particular was perfect for working. I have rarely travelled such a long distance in such a relaxed manner and would book this connection again in a heartbeat.
