I travelled back from Dortmund to Cologne on business. The train arrived very punctually for a start. That is of course very pleasant after a hard day's work. And you noticed straight away that the air conditioning was on. That's all the more pleasing in this heat. Thanks to the seat reservation, I was able to squeeze through the crowd and sit in my seat. In general, I recommend everyone to make a seat reservation. It gives you less stress and more comfort. The ticket inspector was quick to check everyone. You could use the toilet. But it was not very hygienic. It is very practical that there is always a power socket between the double seats. I can use it to charge my iPhone after a long day. Unfortunately, the Board Bistro was closed. But that wasn't so bad, because the ride didn't last that long. In terms of price, the ride is already expensive. Nevertheless, I'd rather take the train than the car.

Iconslight delay
After our stay, we went back to Cologne on the Deutsche Bahn ICE. The train arrived before the stated departure time and left on time. The seats were very comfortable and offered a small folding table, enough storage space for small luggage and an adjustable backrest. The internet on board was good and allowed us to surf the web, read and answer emails and even watch videos. The staff were very helpful and nice. Unfortunately, there were delays during the journey due to construction work, which caused us to be 20 minutes late. Nevertheless, I would recommend this ride to others, as the plus points outweigh the negatives.

I recently had the opportunity to use the train connection from Dortmund to Cologne and would like to share my impressions. The train connection was almost on time. We departed only slightly late, which was acceptable considering the distance. The arrival time in Cologne was kept well. The train was very clean and well maintained. The seats and floor were spotless and there was no visible soiling. This contributed to a pleasant travelling experience. There were power sockets on the train, which made it possible to charge electronic devices during the journey. This was very positive. The toilets on the train were clean and well maintained. There was also a toilet that was accessible for wheelchair users. There was a small bistro on the train where you could buy drinks and snacks. The selection was limited, but sufficient. Overall, the train connection from Dortmund to Cologne was extremely satisfactory. The punctuality, cleanliness, availability of electricity, toilets and the bistro all helped to make the journey pleasant and comfortable.
Advantages

Disadvantages
IconActually none
The punctuality of this train was excellent. The ICE48 arrived and departed exactly on schedule. The ticket price was reasonable for the services offered. The cleanliness of the train was very good, both the seats and the common areas were well maintained. The toilets were generally clean, but there were moments when they could be better maintained. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of legroom on the floor. However, additional padding and adjustable backrests could further improve comfort. Overall, the ICE48 train journey was a positive experience. The small improvements in terms of WC maintenance and seat comfort could improve the travelling experience.
