Omio Interview Terms and Conditions 

1. Eligibility

• Interviews are open to those who are 18 years of age or older.

2. Promotion Period

Interviews will be conducted in the period of November 22nd and 25th and will take place in the CET timezone. To participate, you must register your interest via the email survey invite by 12pm CET on November 19th.

3. How to participate

• To register for an interview, participants must complete the survey sent via email. 

• Upon completing the survey, participants will be contacted via the number they provided to schedule an interview.

• Interviews will be one hour long. The participant must complete the interview in order to be eligible to receive the incentive. 

4. Recording

When the interview begins, you will be asked for your consent to record the interview. Recording will not begin until you have given your consent.

Omio informs you that under Article 17 & 19 of the GDPR, you are entitled to request the deletion of all personal data pertaining to you, including video recordings, that Omio holds. You may submit such a request via our Help Centre.

5. Incentive

• Each Participant will receive a €50 or £40 Amazon Gift Card in return for their participation in the interviews.

• The Amazon Gift Card is non-exchangeable and non-transferable, and no cash alternative is offered.

• The Amazon Gift Card will be delivered to each Participant via email no later than 5 business days after the interviews.

• The Amazon Gift Card can be provided from the following stores:

  • Amazon.nl

  • Amazon.es

  • Amazon.co.uk

6. General Conditions

• Omio reserves the right to disqualify any participant who does not participate in the promotion in good faith.

• Only one participation per person is permitted. Multiple entries stemming from the same email invite will be disqualified.

• The English version of these terms shall be considered the original and legally binding version. Translations are provided for convenience purposes only. 

7. Data protection

By registering for an interview, You agree to be contacted by Omio on WhatsApp or standard SMS message at the phone number provided in order to schedule an interview. Omio will not contact you on WhatsApp or SMS message for any other purpose other than the purposes of scheduling an interview.

If you decide you no longer wish to give an interview, you can press the ‘Opt-out’ button on WhatsApp in order to unsubscribe from future messages. To unsubscribe from SMS messages, please text “Unsubscribe”. Doing so before completing an interview will mean you are no longer entitled to receive the incentive in accordance with Section 5. If You no longer wish to receive marketing emails from Omio, You can unsubscribe by clicking the link at the end of any Omio marketing email.

Omio Travel GmbH., with its main place of business at Warschauer Platz 12, 10245 Berlin, informs You in accordance with Art. 13 of the GDPR that we process Your personal data for the following purposes. 

Name of the processing: Interviews for the purposes of improving the Omio services

Responsible party: Omio Travel GmbH, Warschauer Platz 12, 10245 Berlin, Germany

Purpose: Analysis of travel experience relating to Omio App, provision of the incentive

Personal data: Name, phone number and email address 

Legal basis: Performance of the contract – Art. 6 (1)(b) of the GDPR, Consent - Art. 6 (1)(a) of the GDPR

Consequences of failure to provide personal data: If You do not provide us with the personal data, You will not be able to participate in the interviews.

Retention period: We will store Your personal data for the duration of the Study and for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose of the Study.

Transfer to third parties: Yes, to WhatsApp - see their Privacy Policy.

Data security: Omio uses a variety of technical and organisational methods to protect Your personal data in accordance with applicable laws. To support this obligation, we have taken appropriate technical, physical and organisational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk.

Your rights: Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), You are entitled to the following rights in relation to Your personal data:

Among other things, You are entitled to;

• verify whether and what personal data we hold about You, and to obtain copies of such data, 

• request the deletion of Your personal data,

• object to the processing of Your personal data in certain circumstances, 

• request data portability, 

• withdraw consent at any time, and, 

• lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority responsible for You.
