Take the train. It's meaningfully faster than driving, and the time saved usually justifies the price.

You'll arrive about 9m sooner (36m by train vs 45m by car). Tickets start at around $37 (€30) compared to roughly $9 (€7) in fuel and tolls — so you're paying a bit more, but getting hours of your day back, a city-centre arrival, and the freedom to work or relax instead of drive.

IconLong journey time
You can take the S-Bahn from Hanover to Stadthagen without changing trains. Unfortunately, it stopped at every station, so the journey time was relatively long. I found the seats on the train very comfortable. There were also power sockets and wifi available. Unfortunately, there was no staff on the train, which is why there was no ticket inspection. I found the cleanliness and hygiene on the train acceptable. However, the outside of the train was very dirty, so visibility through the window was limited. Otherwise, the train had not been delayed.
