Advantages
IconNo delay and change
IconIt had been very clean
IconComfortable seats and sufficient equipment
Disadvantages
IconIt was very noisy despite low occupancy
IconBoard bistro was closed
It had been very noisy on the train, although it was not very busy. Unfortunately, there was also no on-board bistro, so I couldn't eat anything. However, the train had been very clean and there had been an internet connection and enough power sockets. The seats were also comfortable. The journey did not require any changes and there were no delays.
Advantages
IconClean train
IconOn time
Disadvantages
IconNo wifi
I travelled with IC 2021 from Hamburg to Düsseldorf, which also included a stop in Dortmund. It was a relaxed night journey in second class, the train made a clean and technically impeccable impression, there were enough seats available. Unfortunately, the train had no wifi, but it was still a pleasant journey that I would make again.
Advantages
IconPunctual and uncomplicated
Disadvantages
IconI have not had any negative experiences
The train connection from Dortmund to Düsseldorf was punctual and very reliable. The train started and arrived exactly at the scheduled time. The cleanliness of the train was very good, the floor, windows and seats were very clean and appeared to have been freshly cleaned. The seats were very soft and comfortable. There were power sockets on the train which was very handy, I was able to keep myself occupied with my laptop during the journey. The toilets on the train were very good but could be a bit cleaner. It would be nice if they were cleaned more regularly. The bistro on the train offered a good selection of snacks and drinks. The prices were reasonable, in my opinion. Overall, the train journey from Dortmund to Düsseldorf was a pleasant experience for me. The punctuality and the availability of power sockets were particularly convenient.
Advantages
IconNo delays and no changes
IconFast ticket inspection
IconClean train and toilets
IconQuiet volume on the train
Disadvantages
IconNo legroom and no table available at the seat
The train from Dortmund to Düsseldorf had been full, but every passenger had got a seat. It had also been surprisingly quiet here. The seats, however, were comfortable but had little legroom. There were also no tables here. Apart from that, there were two power sockets per row of seats and a stable internet connection. The train and the toilets looked quite clean. Tickets were also checked very quickly. The train was not delayed and I didn't have to change trains.
Advantages
IconVery clean and reliable
Disadvantages
IconNone
The train arrived on time and made a very orderly impression. It also departed according to schedule. The train was very clean and tidy. The seats were very comfortable and pleasantly soft, they had also been freshly cleaned and smelled nice. The toilets had been cleaned well and were very well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I found the price-performance ratio to be okay. I reached my destination on time and was very satisfied with this train connection.
Advantages
IconFast ticket inspection
IconLow utilisation and pleasant volume
IconComfortable seats and very good equipment
IconNo changeover necessary
Disadvantages
IconDelay of 10 minutes
IconRestricted view from the window due to lack of cleanliness outside
The return journey from Dortmund to Düsseldorf had definitely been more relaxed. The train had a normal load factor and a pleasant volume. The staff here had also been very friendly and carried out a smooth ticket inspection. There were plenty of power sockets on the train and a stable internet connection. The seats were also comfortable. Unfortunately, the outside of the train was a bit dirty, which limited the view outside. But I also have to consider the delay as a negative, which was 10 minutes. However, it was not necessary to change trains.
Advantages
IconPunctuality
Disadvantages
IconToilets
IconPlace
Unfortunately, the journey wasn't what I had hoped for, as I didn't have a seat and had to sit in the aisle of the train and the toilet was broken, so I couldn't go to the loo. At least the train left on time and arrived on time. Not recommended under such circumstances!
