As I am a trainee, I take the train from Dessau to Erfurt via Leipzig every 3-4 weeks to catch my connecting train to Erfurt to reach my vocational school. The train journey from Dessau to Leipzig took about 1 hour, including 30 minutes on the regional train to Lutherstadt Wittenberg, where a relaxed 10-minute changeover time awaits me. As soon as the ICE to Leipzig arrives, another 30 minutes await me. Unfortunately, it's hard to find a seat on the ICE, because the train was very busy, but despite the high occupancy rate, there was a very pleasant silence, so you could take a short nap. The ticket check was short and concise, and the staff were nice and happy to help with any problems. Luggage could be perfectly placed above the seats or on the luggage trolley. Only if you had larger luggage with you, it was difficult to get through the narrow aisles. Otherwise a great ride
