How to Get to Sofia by Plane
Sofia Airport is located just 5km from the Bulgarian capital. As the country's main airport, it is served by a wide range of UK airlines including British Airways, easyJet, Thomas Cook, Thomson Airways and Wizz Air. You can get flights to Sofia from a number of destinations within the United Kingdom, including London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester. On arrival, you can take a bus to the city center or hire a car and drive there in just thirty to forty minutes. A number of private operators and local hotels also provide regular shuttle services to and from Sofia Airport, and a free bus service operates between the two terminals every 30 minutes.
