As this was a business trip, I cannot rate the fare. As always with Lufthansa, check-in was uncomplicated and pleasant. The same applies to the security check in Milan. Unfortunately, I had to wait quite a long time for my luggage in Munich, which was a bit annoying.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconLittle legroom
IconUncomfortable seats
IconProducts far too expensive
My flight from Milan to Munich was mediocre. The comfort of the seats was not the best, with not enough room for longer legs. The service on board was friendly and helpful, but the products on offer were expensive and the selection disappointing. However, the cleanliness of the aircraft was surprisingly well maintained. Despite the high prices for extras, the price was still acceptable for what was on offer because the ticket didn't cost that much either.
Advantages
IconPersonnel
Disadvantages
IconWIFI
This flight was actually quite normal, staff were very good, very nice. Comfort and hygiene very good. Price performance was average and punctuality was the same. The wifi was very expensive and sometimes didn't work. I would therefore give the flight three out of five stars
Advantages
IconFast
Disadvantages
IconVery expensive
IconCramped seating
IconLittle storage space for hand luggage
Flight with Lufthansa from Milan Malpensa to Munich Franz-Josef Strauss, operated by LH Cityline. Very small Embraer aircraft with only 2 rows of seats on each side. People over 185 cm have to bend down. Every centimetre of the aircraft is used, very narrow seats, even with average height. There is only a little water and a chocolate that only tastes of sugar. Flight itself without any problems - was on time. Staff friendly. The aircraft was clean.
Advantages
IconNo delay
Disadvantages
IconSecurity check
There was no delay on this flight and the aircraft was cleared for take-off immediately after boarding. Unfortunately, there was a very long queue at security and it took a long time. The flight attendants were nice and brought me a drink.
Advantages
IconModern aeroplane
IconFriendly flight attendants
IconComprehensible announcements
Disadvantages
IconMinor delay
The flight from Milan to Munich was largely fine, except that the plane took off a few minutes later and there were therefore delays. On the plus side, it was a very modern aircraft and the seats were extremely clean and comfortable. The journey took about an hour, which I found very pleasant. The flight attendants were always friendly and greeted you with a pleasant smile.
Advantages
IconCleanliness
IconPunctuality
Disadvantages
IconThe space was very limited!
I flew on behalf of Lufthansa with Air Dolomiti from Milan (Linate) to Munich. The flight was on time and the aircraft was very clean and relatively new. However, due to the size of the aircraft, the seats were quite cramped. As usual with Lufthansa, the staff were very friendly. As it was a very short flight, the space was not too bad. The prices are generally a little higher with Lufthansa, but appropriate for the comfort.
Advantages
IconFlight time
Disadvantages
IconService
For a city trip I flew from Munich to Milan Airport Linale on 10 April 2024 and on 14 April 2024 I flew back from Milan (LIN) to Munich (MUC) on flight number LH 7407. The flight lasted 1 hour without a stopover and was operated by Air Dolomiti. The aircraft was very clean. The flight attendants provided a biscuit and a bottle of water for the short flight. The seats were hard and there was no wifi and no charging facilities for electrical devices.
Advantages
IconPunctual
Disadvantages
IconPrice
Unfortunately, we paid a lot of money for this ticket back then. However, it was still well worth it for our city trip. The flight was slightly delayed, but this was quickly made up for in the air so that we still landed on time. There was a good catering offer and free water and coffee at this early hour. The toilets in the aircraft were very clean.
Advantages
IconGood comfort
Disadvantages
IconDelay
A few months ago I flew back to Munich from Milan for a holiday. I flew with the airline Lufthansa and was very pleasantly surprised. The airline offers a very pleasant level of comfort. All the staff were always friendly and available to answer any questions. The seats were clean and comfortable. There was a tray on which you could place your food or a glass of water. In addition, great importance is attached to hygiene everywhere. The toilets and the room in general were always clean and they were always left clean. The journey time is normally given as approx. 1 hour, but our aircraft was delayed from the previous flight, which is why it was delayed by approx. 30 minutes. The price was reasonable for the flight with Lufthansa, which is why the price-performance ratio is given. All in all, I can only recommend flights with Lufthansa!

The list of items prohibited on an airplane varies by country and airline, but in general, the following items are not allowed in carry-on or checked baggage: Weapons and self-defence items, sharp objects, flammable materials, explosives, toxic substances, or liquids over 100ml (except for medications and baby essentials). Electronic cigarettes must be in carry-on bags, while alcohol and dry ice have restrictions. Always check with your airline for specific regulations.
Germany uses the euro (€) as its currency. Travelers generally find it convenient to use cards, especially contactless payments, in cities and larger establishments. However, cash is still widely accepted and sometimes preferred in smaller shops, markets, and rural areas. Carrying some cash is recommended for flexibility.
In Munich, travelers should be cautious of pickpocketing, especially in crowded areas like public transport, major tourist sites, and during festivals such as Oktoberfest. Common scams include distraction techniques where one person engages the traveler while another steals belongings. It is also advisable to avoid unofficial taxi services to prevent overcharging. Staying alert in busy places and securing personal items helps ensure a safe visit.
Pack lightweight, versatile clothing suitable for the destination's climate, and use secure, lockable luggage to protect belongings. Keep essential items like travel documents, medication, and valuables in a carry-on bag for easy access. Use packing organizers or cubes to maximize space and maintain order. Lastly, include a small first aid kit and personal hygiene items for added comfort during travel.
