About Bonn

Bonn is a lively and picturesque city, filled with attractions for seekers of culture. Music lovers flock to the Beethoven Haus on Bonngasse, the museum of the great composer, who was born there in 1770. You can visit it all the year around, apart from major public Vacations like Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day. The new Beethovenhalle concert hall is on the river Rhine, site of the opening and closing concerts of the annual Beethoven festival, which takes place every year between August and October. The 11th-century Bonn Minster is one of the oldest churches in Germany, a fine example of Romanesque architecture. Bonn is also filled with places to eat good food and stay out late. The Strandhaus Restaurant on Georgstrasse serves fine German dishes at reasonable prices, a main course dish costing between 15 and 30 euros.
