Öresundståg Trains
The Öresundståg, or Øresundstog which is its Danish name, is part of the regional train network in the transnational Øresund Region of Denmark and Sweden. The trains run the route from Helsingör to Gothenburg, Växjö / Kalmar and Karlskrona. During the weekends, the line routes are somewhat shorter, and changes in the Öresundståg timetable also occur. On the Danish side, traffic is handled by DSB and on the Swedish side Transdev is responsible.
Öresundståg Train Tickets
Öresundståg tickets can be purchased directly with Omio. The companies that are part of the network are the Swedish regional public transport companies Blekingetrafiken, Hallandstrafiken, Länstrafiken Kronoberg, Kalmar Länstrafik, Skånetrafiken and Västtrafik, and The Danish Transport and Construction Agency. In Sweden the trains are manned by Transdev and in Denmark by DSB. If you travel between the counties, or across the border between Denmark and Sweden, the south tariff applies. This means that the ticket can also be purchased through Resplus. Are you traveling to Denmark ? Then the Movia tickets apply. In addition, it is possible to buy a monthly card at a certain distance. These are sold via the regional transport companies and are usually also valid on local buses. Thus, there are several good solutions for Öresundståg train tickets. Tickets do not need to be pre-booked but can be redeemed directly at a ticket machine or at another point of sale just before departure.
