Haarlem to Amsterdam bus

The currency used in the Netherlands is the Euro (EUR). Travelers generally find it more convenient to use cards, as most places accept debit and credit cards, though having some cash on hand is useful for small purchases or in rural areas.

In Amsterdam, travelers should be cautious of pickpocketing, especially in crowded areas like markets, public transport, and popular tourist spots. Scams involving overpriced or counterfeit tickets for canal tours and museums are common, so purchasing tickets from official vendors is advised. Additionally, some travelers report fake police officers asking to check wallets, so always ask for identification. Bicycle theft is also frequent, so securing bikes properly is important. Staying aware and using official services helps ensure a safe visit.

Pack lightweight, versatile clothing suitable for the destination's climate, and use secure, lockable luggage to protect belongings. Keep essential items like travel documents, medication, and valuables in a carry-on bag for easy access. Use packing organizers or cubes to maximize space and maintain order. Lastly, include a small first aid kit and personal hygiene items for added comfort during travel.
