Taking the Bus from Bratislava

All buses from Bratislava to Budapest depart from Mlynske Nivy bus station, which is located on the east side of the city. The bus station is the main transport hub within the city for both local buses and international buses, so it is easy to catch a local bus or tram within the local area to reach the station. Local buses stop just outside the bus station entrance on Mlynske Nivy Street. Travelers can also reach the bus station on foot, as it is just a 15-minute walk from the Old Town.

Getting into Budapest by Bus

Budapest is a huge city, carved down the middle by the Danube River. All international bus routes arrive at the main bus station at Népliget, which is located in the 9th District of Budapest, just to the east of the city center. The easiest way to reach the city center is to take the Metro on Line M3, however, there is also a good selection of bus and tram routes that connect Népliget to the city center.
