Passengers wishing to visit the Hungarian capital will find buses a cost-effective way to travel. Each day, two direct departures leave Belgrade heading for Budapest. The 235-mile route can be covered in as little as seven hours with an option for a morning or evening departure. With travel continuing throughout the year, passengers will always find coaches readily available.
All buses on the Belgrade to Budapest route are operated by Fudeks, one of the leading coach providers in Serbia. Fudeks was established in 1989 and offers a fleet of buses that are no more than 10 years old and all are air-conditioned, fully equipped with TV, video and audio equipment, with toilets and a refrigerator.
The fastest journey along the 235-mile route takes just seven hours to reach Budapest. Whether leaving in the morning or traveling overnight, the journey time is the same. All routes and direct and require no changes.
Each day, there are two direct departures from Belgrade to Budapest. Both services are offered by Fudeks, the Serbian coach provider. Departure bus station: All buses begin their journey at Belgrade bus station, the main bus station in Serbia. Efficient public transport makes arriving at the station very easy. The station is close to the city center and next to the railway station. The city center is accessible via tram lines 2, 7, 9 and 13, or bus lines 78 and 83, or on foot. Taxis are also available.
Arrival bus station: Passengers will alight the service at Budapest Népliget, right by The People's Park. Just a 15-minute drive from the center of town, Budapest Népliget is a road-side stop. Onward travel is easily organized thanks to the adjacent tram and metro stops. The closest train station is Budapest-Ferencváros, just over a mile away. Within the bus station itself, passengers can expect to find an ATM, toilets, luggage storage, coffee shops, and parking.
