Palma de Mallorca, in the Spanish Balearic Islands, is a favorite tourist destination, popular for its warm climate, historic churches and castles, and miles of sandy beaches.
Travel to Palma de Mallorca is easy as Palma Airport is the main airport for all of Mallorca, and is conveniently located just 9 kilometres from the centre of the city. For about €3 you can purchase a single ticket for the EMT Line 1 bus, which runs from the airport to Palma every 15 minutes throughout the day from 6:15 a.m. up until 2:30 a.m. Alternatively, a taxi from the city centre to the airport should cost about €29 and can be booked in advance online. British Airways, EasyJet and RyanAir are just a few of the airlines which serve this airport.
If you wish to travel to Palma de Mallorca by train, the main train and metro station serving the city is Palma Intermodal Station at Placa Espanya, in the heart of the city centre. Its convenient location means it's easy to walk to most city centre destinations, but the city's main bus station is also located in the same complex as the train station. For travllers with heavy luggage, taxis can be flagged down outside. The main rail companies serving the station are Serveis Ferroviaris de Mallorca (overground) and the Palma Metro (underground).
Palma Intermodal Station in the city centre hosts a major bus terminal as well as trains and metro services.
