Declared a World Heritage site in 1992, picturesque Český Krumlov is ideal to be explored on foot. A must-see is the town's castle and chateau complex. Coming from Latrán, you will pass through the magnificent iron gates find yourself already in its first courtyard. Don't forget to look for the bears when you approach the Little Castle. The town's famous bears lounge here in their very own bear moat. After having wandered around for a while, you might want to enjoy a picnic in the wonderful castle gardens. A very photogenic viewpoint is Platovy Most, a multi-level bridge that offers impressive views over the town and surrounding area. After having explored the castle grounds and its treasures, head over to the Old Town, which is nearly completely encompassed by the Vltava river. The real joy here is sauntering through the narrow, cobblestone streets and pause for a bite to eat in one of the many traditional pubs. And don't be afraid to get lost, the Old Town is relatively small and all its streets lead sooner or later back to the central square with its emblematic Marian Column.
