There was no need to change trains on the journey from Leipzig to Gera. Unfortunately, this was a diesel train, so it was very noisy in the train and one could not relax. Because of this, you could not understand the announcements either, but this was not so bad as there were enough displays. Everything else, such as cleanliness, equipment and staff, was fine. In addition, the train was on time.

IconDelay of 10 minutes
I was able to take the regional train from Leipzig to Gera without having to change trains. Unfortunately, this train had already been delayed from the previous journey, so it left 10 minutes late and unfortunately arrived at its destination station with the same delay. The train was very clean. The seats were also very comfortable and the train had plenty of power sockets and a stable internet connection. Unfortunately, however, the only toilet on the train was out of order, so many people complained. However, the staff remained very friendly and apologised profusely.
