Then I took the regional express back to Hanover. This was also full, but I was still able to get a seat. The seats in this train were very close together, so that there was hardly any legroom and I could not stow my luggage. Otherwise, the cleanliness on the train was very good and the staff were friendly and calm despite the high occupancy and checked all tickets. The train was a few minutes late at the end, but that didn't bother anyone.

The train from Hildesheim to Hanover was pleasant. Despite no fixed seats, a seat was found very quickly and it was also comfortable and cosy for a seat on the train. The journey was cheap and therefore a real alternative to travelling by car. However, there was a problem with the toilets, as they were not open. Fortunately, the journey time is pleasantly short and you can be in Hanover in just under 30 minutes.

From Hildesheim main station to Hanover, I had the option of travelling by S-Bahn or regional train. I opted for the regional train as it had a shorter journey time. It was also very punctual and I didn't have to change trains until Hanover. Unfortunately, it was very loud and crowded on the train. In addition, the cleanliness was not good. However, I found the hygiene in the toilets acceptable. The staff were also very friendly and made clear announcements. The comfort was also good. There were also enough power sockets available and there was a wifi connection.
