Sylt Shuttle Plus was a unique passenger train service operated by Deutsche Bahn (DB) that connected Niebüll and Westerland on the island of Sylt, Germany. Unlike the primary Sylt Shuttle, which transports vehicles, the "Plus" service was designed for passengers without cars. It involved coupling a Class 628 diesel multiple unit to the rear of the car shuttle train. Introduced in 2015, the Sylt Shuttle Plus gained notoriety for its often-empty carriages and longer travel times compared to regional trains, leading to its nickname "ghost train." The service was discontinued in December 2024.

ÖBB Intercity is a domestic high-speed rail service operated by the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) in Austria. They are addition to the Eurocity and the Railjet for long-distance travels and also include first class cars, the trains are air-conditioned, hve power sockets a minibar service and are comfortable. ÖBB Intercity trains mostly run on the inner alpine lines to cities like Graz, Linz and Salzburg and Inssbruck.

EuroNight is an international night train service operated by ÖBB, the Austrian Federal Railways. It runs from Austria to many countries in Europe, including Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic. The EuroNight trains offer a variety of services, including comfortable sleeping compartments, couchettes, and reclining seats. The ticket types available are Standard, Comfort, and Business Class. Onboard facilities include a restaurant car, a bar, and a bistro. The most popular routes for EuroNight are Vienna to Munich, Vienna to Zurich, and Vienna to Venice.
