IconFast crossing

Disadvantages
IconNothing to note
We go on a family holiday to Italy once a year and this year we decided to combine it with a trip to France. A ferry connection to Bastia immediately came to mind. We found the connection with the Moby ferry, which departed from Genoa, very practical. We were travelling as a family of three and were therefore very happy about the play area on the ferry. In my opinion, a cabin is not necessary for this crossing and the five and a half hours also passed in the corridors. Very quickly. There were also restaurants on the ferry and the food was excellent. I can definitely recommend the connection and will definitely use it again in the next few years.
Advantages
IconFavourable price
IconConvenient departure times
Disadvantages
IconStressful check-in
IconLong waiting time
IconHectic exit
Check-in stressful, as everything has to be done quickly and little English is spoken. Waiting time before boarding quite long. Waiting area dirty and uninviting. Staff on the ship quite friendly. Checking into the room is very quick. Beds are comfortable enough for one night. Enough power sockets available, also near the bed. Cabin clean so far, but bathroom needs to be cleaned more thoroughly as there is mould in the grout. Wifi did not work. The food in the canteen is too expensive for the poor quality. However, the service is nice and the canteen is very clean. The ship started 15 minutes late and was underway for quite a long time. Quite a hustle and bustle broke out at disembarkation, as you had to leave your rooms 2 hours before and everyone just wanted to get off quickly. Parking for cars below deck very cramped. If the other passengers move around, the paintwork can be scratched by bags etc. The price was very reasonable. For the price, however, the crossing was okay.
Advantages
IconPunctuality
IconNice staff
IconCleanliness
Disadvantages
IconGastronomy
The ferry left on time. Entry by car went smoothly thanks to the staff who coordinated everything very well. The common/stay rooms very clean and well air-conditioned. 2x restaurants - 1x a la card and 1 x canteen - food in the canteen a bit more expensive than on the mainland but good portions and tasty (lasagne 15 €). Had a twin cabin with window. Clean and completely adequate. Bunk bed with freshly made bed linen. Bathroom with shower and towels. Sufficient power sockets in the room.
