Gol Transportes Aéreos, operating as GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, is a Brazilian low-cost airline based in Rio de Janeiro. Established in 2000, it commenced operations in January 2001, becoming the first low-cost carrier in Brazil. GOL offers domestic and international flights across Brazil, South America, the Caribbean, and the United States. Its main operational hubs include São Paulo's Guarulhos and Congonhas airports, and Rio de Janeiro's Galeão airport. GOL also operates a loyalty program called Smiles.
